Health and safety_
AROCNZ issues these general guidelines to assist you in safeguarding your health and well-being, whether at social or speed-related events.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, AROCNZ is a volunteer association and is not classed as Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU).
So organisers need to:
- Ensure all AROCNZ members are aware they are personally responsible for their own Safety and Wellbeing and for the Safety and Wellbeing of others, taking care not to do anything that could harm another.
- Pass on to AROCNZ members any instructions that the PCBU providing services requires, including any evacuation and assembly point location information.
- If it is thought prudent that a qualified first aider be present at an event, identify and appoint a qualified person and ensure that the person has access to a first aid kit at the event.
