After three years of hard work, our story of AROC’s first 50 years is ready for you to purchase. The result of all the efforts is a magnificent coffee table book, hardback, full colour print, and, almost unbelievably, 520 pages!

As you can see from these page images, the book is profusely illustrated. Almost 900 images are included: long-forgotten photographs from dusty albums, historic documents from private archives and the Alexander Turnbull Library, and a treasure trove of period newspaper clippings telling the tale of Alfa Romeo’s presence in New Zealand from 1950.

AROCNZ would be nothing without its people, and the book lovingly records the stories of deceased club legends and includes pen portraits of all those honoured with life membership. Detailed accounts of everyday club activity at the regional level over five decades also make for great reading. There are fascinating deep dives into some of Alfa’s lesser-known series, such as the 1900 and 101 Giulietta TI, and the magnificent 2600s and Montreals. Iconic club cars such as the 105, Alfetta coupe, Busso V6 GTA and the 4C also get their own chapters.
